Pilgrim & Guide.

Helping others become awake and responsive to the presence and the activity of God in their lives.

My Story

In 2001, I helped begin the Greater Ontario House of Prayer, a 24-7 New Monastic Community in Canada, and served as it’s “Abbess” for 17 years. Today, GOHOP’s team of urban missionaries continue to explore the ancient monastic practices of prayer, mission, justice, hospitality, learning and creativity through the cultivation of intentional communities, leadership development and missional partnerships.

In 2018, my husband Kirk and I were invited to relocate to the UK, where we currently live and work.

I serve on the International Leadership Team of 24-7 Prayer as Director of Houses of Prayer and Director of Spiritual Formation at Emmaus Road Church in Guildford. I am also the Global Convenor of the Order of the Mustard Seed, an international lay, ecumenical religious order. In addition, I work as a spiritual director, educator and writer.

There is nothing more crucial to the staying power of the leader than establishing rhythms that keep us replenished - body, mind and soul. There is nothing more crucial than rhythms that help us make ourselves available to God for the work that only he can do in us - day in and day out.

Interested in having me speak?

Although my availability is sometimes limited, I do give prayerful consideration to requests from pastors and leaders who extend opportunities to have me speak at their church, conference, leadership retreat, and ecumenical gathering.
